DMV Driver’s Record Request

You have received a new message from Sean Redmond.

Greetings Jackson,
It is that time again, where we need an updated DMV Driver’s Record from you and look at our active volunteer roster. This combined task will assist SCP in strategically planning for the year ahead.
To request your record, please go to https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/customer-service/request-vehicle-or-driver-records/online-driver-record-request/ and follow the directions. The cost is $2 plus 2.1% service fee to all debit and credit card transactions. If this cost is an issue, please do not hesitate to reach out and we can discuss payment or reimbursement options.
The record is only needed to allow you to continue driving any SCP insured vehicle. If you prefer to be moved to a non-driving patrol volunteer, please let me know. Your 3 hours minimum time commitments (virtual and/or mobile patrols) do not change as a non-driving patrol volunteer.
After I receive your DMV Driver’s Record, I would like to set up a time with you to familiarize you with our new patrol vehicle both equipment and vehicle operation. I estimate this to be approximately 30 minutes and would be conducted at the DMV Hillcrest or Balboa Park, Marston Point city view parking lot on a Saturday or Sunday.
I ask that this be done no later than December 31, 2020, as we want to start 2021 off with a fresh roster of active patrol volunteers. Most of the training opportunities will be first come, first serve, and scheduled among other field training and patrol requirements/activities.
Please note, we are only offering in-person volunteering if you feel comfortable doing so with our COVID-19 prevention practices in place. If you choose to not participate in in-person volunteering due to COVID-19, our new virtual patrol program is still available to allow you to participate. Prior to you returning to in-person volunteering and driving, a DMV driver’s record and/or vehicle familiarization will need to occur. This will still be offered on a first-come, first-serve, and scheduled among other field training and patrol requirements/activities.
If I can be of any assistance or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out and we can discuss!
Respectfully,
Sean
