We are calling on all healthy, able, low risk of illness to volunteer. We have a need for patrol volunteers. The bars and breweries may be closed and eateries at half capacity, but we can still provide that extra ‘eyes and ears’ throughout our neighborhoods.
Point of Clarification from the prior Volunteer Hub, Patrol Volunteer message titled ‘Current SCP Policy and Guidance, Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)’
This afternoon, Governor Newsom asked all adults 65 years of age and older to self-isolate. This is the definition of an older adult that we are now using. While we are suggesting that volunteers follow the guidance, we understand that some may still make the decision to volunteer. We want to make VERY CLEAR that you are under no pressure to volunteer should you feel unsafe doing so and for patrol volunteers that are 65 years of age or older SCP directs you to use alternative volunteer methods to stay active within the organization.
Alternative volunteer methods include regularly signing into Volunteer Hub, liking and following social media posts from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and sharing posts to engage our community in time of social distancing.
